Grand Prize: $20,000 Cash Plus Access And Script And Marketing Help

  • Direct Industry Exposure : Winning script sent to over 300 agents, managers, and development executives who have requested it. $3,000 in estimated marketing and promotional value.
  • Direct Industry Exposure At Expo Pitchfest : The 2011 winners and runners-up will be announced and awards bestowed on the first evening of the Screenwriting Expo. Then, the winners can then pitch their scripts to production companies, agents, and managers as bvrand-new winners at the Golden Pitch Fest. Two $1,000 Cash Television Script Prizes

Prizes of $1,000 each will be offered for the best hour-long and best half-hour television scripts. Writers will also be included in the distribution of winning scripts, loglines, and synopses to studios, production companies, agents, and managers and will be included in the publicity prizes (see the Access Prizes page for details).

$1,000 Cash to Best Comedy Screenplay: LOL Award

Whoever wrote "Make 'em laugh!" knew that it's easier said than done. People love to laugh, and good comedy will always sell. The comedic screenplay is one of the most profitable markets in Hollywood. The winner of this award will be given the opportunity to have their screenplay exposed to legitimate industry executives.

$500 Cash for Reality TV Category

This is your opportunity to pitch your Reality TV show TV idea/ concept with a Reality Show Producer. We are looking for a one page treatment that outlines your best Reality TV, Docu-Series, Game Show, Drama Series, Talk/Variety, Documentary, Mini-Series or Life Story Right idea. The winner will have a one on one meeting with Reality producer Michael Swerdlick and the possible to pitch his/her idea with possible production or development deal.

Michael Swerdlick has written and produced feature films - Can't Buy Me Love, Love Don't Cost A Thing, TV series - Doogie Howser, MD, Beverly Hills, 90210, TV movies -The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Whereabouts of Jenny, straight to video movies - several OLSEN TWINS/Warner Brothers productions, and "reality shows" - Confessions Of A Teen Idol and The In-Laws (currently in production).

Michael has relationships with all the studios, networks and most cable networks. Still actively writing scripts, he has also been very involved in the "reality TV" area the past two years, selling three shows he's created.
